Generally the slower the speed the easier it is for the human. Faster speed=harder. Marathon is like playing one difficulty down comperd to normal.

At lower levels the vassals obviously arent to good and you might aswell kill them off most of the time but as you move up in level the AI will get way more powerfull and even a smaller AI empire with 6 decent cities can be of a nice help and you might want them as a vassal.

Marble wonders however are often wonders that the AI dont really go after or atleast the teaches you need for them. You can almost allways be first to asthetic litature and music if you want to and easy get the really good wonders there without marble. While THG mids GW and stonedge are early...

You can also win on deity by only using settlers dosnt mean its a good way or that the other buildings arent needed:)

Keeping libiray market and bank is obvious specialy since it also includ university wall stree oxford and other things. Forge really helps barracks aswell specialy if you like war and drafting. No heroic epic no courthouse makes coroparation a pain and no forbidden palace. Granary is...

I have had monty and toku attack me with modern armor battleships and aircraft that was really scary:eek:

I remember a fun game I had going for cultural victory but the AI actully manged to culture flip one of my cites that was suppose to go legendary (it was only half way) evul cultural flips :p
