and damn dx11 graphics are cool

i have had a similar error due to my experiences it is because of drivers or windows prequistes. even though i had a sp3 xp, runtime&dx installed and lastest drivers i got that error. i installed 7 with 7 drivers and problem solved.

nothing changes if i skip intro game crushes afteri click the journey begins, if i watch the intro game closes itself after i watch intro and returnes to windows.

i tried all the regular settings which were working 5 days before. 1280x800. i hadnt tried windowed mode. right now i am updating windows for the first time so i will write the results after it all finishes. one more thing game freezes when i click the journey begins not on the menu. thanks...

i also installed Microsoft Visual C++2008 Runtime Libraries

8600m gt, c2d 2.2, 2gb ram i was able to play civ 4 before i reinstalled xp. tried 2 nvidia drivers, both worked fine with total war m2.

longbowman seems to be uber strong, they should have some handicap at ranged combat if they are to fire at big ranges. Instead of giving them +1range they can start with range promotion so they wont be able to fire at 3 range.

Very slow sea battles, barbary destroyers, caravels makes no damage to cities at industrial. Civ 5 has tons of things to fix.
