Amaziiiing! :D
This will definately make Civ 5 SO much better!
Now the only tiny little thing I can ask for, and I will be happier than you can possibly imagine, is for the borders to be able to go back and forth (using culture) as in Civ 4. And being able to take over cities by that way...
I hope you don't get the "We think you're winning the same way as us" penalty from each and every civ then ;)
I mostly play with only domination checked, if I play just for the cozyness of it all, because I like to play until I'm the only one left standing.
A worker early on, or an archer if I get in a war, or barbarians keep harassing me.
I like to build wonders in my capital too, so if I can get away with it, I sometimes buy a few buildings there instead of building them.
I think you can be pretty sure they're going to build a burial tomb. But on low difficulty, it's going to be unsure if they ever build the statue of Zeus. But I guess that maybe you can gift it to them.
Normally I don't really have problems after crossbowmen. As long as I keep 4-5 crossbowmen, then cannons, then artillery near my cities, the dumb AI kinda takes care of the rest.
You see the oxymoronish chain of thought?
I used to be like you. I hated to lose wonders or cities, so on all difficulty settings I reloaded if something bad happened, like I lost a city or was beaten to a wonder. - Then Civ slowly got a bit boring, and I realised that it's simply part of the...
I think you mistake your reason for playing Civ for everyone else's reason. There's lots of reasons to play single player. Personally I think it's quite cozy to take your time to build up your empire and see where it takes you. I love multiplayer (LAN) too, but mostly for the same reason...
I can't help but think of this thread as a masked ad for the no quitters group. Oh well. At least you used a lot of time on it ;)
By the way, you'd probably attract a lot more players if you wrote your steam group text in a bit more civil matter. But that's just MHO.
We use "..." as a standard in Denmark but as an alternative. I think it's only used if it's a quote from a person. As in:
1) I just "love" spawning next to Alexander in Diety.
2) I just love spawning next to Alexander in Diety - Martin Mouritzen, 2011.
Well. I guess I'm just lucky knowing the right friends ;) - 3 of them are childhood friends. And the other 2 are friends of one of them, though we've played 4-5 LAN games of Civ 4 together, so I know them pretty well by now.
It's really funny playing Civ in LAN, and each team is gonna sit in a...
