Civ 5 is supposed to be more moddable than Civ 4, so I'm sure there will be some kind of WorldBuilder or MapEditor.
That's a priority job for the modders. They will be chomping at the bit, waiting to get their hands on Civ 5!
Looking at the MiniMap in this screenshot, it's hard to tell...
In popular history, the Songhai Empire (a successor to the Malinese Empire in West Africa), is somewhat obscure - I should think most people on the forum have never heard of it.
Looks like that will be very different in the worlds of Civ 5...
Considering the small charted area on the minimap, this is clearly a demo game. I would have explored much farther afield by the time I developed cavalry & cannons!
