  • Assassination is possible, although you would either pay for "experts" or try it down and dirty. You don't really have an established intel agency OR special forces-type UU's/organizations/factions as of now.
another PM waiting for you to address, oh and just to inform your thinking... Its Christos :p
message for the GM of governments and politics. Your running GMPC characters so you need to be up on that :p
People died, rebels get cocky and see as an omen of victory. After a winter of training 1000 Warriors, 500 Archers and 2000 somewhat trained Militia marches for the capital while another 1000 warriors and 1000 Militia try to rouse the rebellion elsewhere.

A group of three chiefs handle this. One leads the invasion, one leads the rousing, and one coordinates supplies and recruiting.
Be careful which books you buy though, the publishers actually reprinted the series with every original book split into two seperate volumes. Make sure you buy the original sized books to avoid spendding almost twice what you have to.
Moving this away from the GaP II thread to avoid spam. I've really enjoyed Wheel of Time so far, I haven't read the latest book or the prequel novel. I personally find it difficult to avoid drawing parallels between it and LotR but on the other hand it also draws a lot from fokelore - although not to the same depth as Tolkein. I would say it's not as good as LotR but it's easier to read (length notwithstanding) and the world is a lot more fleshed out in the books than Middle-Earth so you don't need to read something similar to the Silmarillion or Book of Lost Tales to get really immersed in the feel of the world.
that would be an awesome cool event. I would occur at night, remember that. Also, I don't really expect that the shower would actually KILL anyone (in all history only 3 people were legit killed by meteors IIRC) but however you want. It is your nation, your world. I merely make sure things don't go crazy, that things happen and develop logically, and that disputes between players are resolved somewhat fairly.
Yes. You probably won with decent amount of casualties, which I will figure out after your post. However, if you want to make it interesting then say that you had to wait overwinter before marching there. Then they have a unit of archers as well. :D. That will make things interesting.
Basically using RP to resolve a conflict on a tactical-local level. The players send me their battleplan, and either I send each sections of the battle story to write, usually sections where they can glorify themselves, or they themselves volunteer sections and I help edit it so it fits.

Anyway, this seems closer to what you actually want; a quick war against an NPC, fought with several RP'ed posts and with moderator consensus. Am I right?

Also, Rebel Stats are currently: 2 Warriors, 3 Militia, a total of 5 thousand dudes scattered around the other town you didn't purge. They can recruit another thousand militia to replace losses every 4 months. Go get'em. :p
Yep. Although I am perfectly fine with you solving the rebellion via RP alone. Are you looking for something like the Story War that happened last update?
Recent Scandinavian history: Pommerania is a vassal of Vahlshallah and has some colonies on the southern coast of sweden. The druids of Hamberg are no longer vassals of Vahlshallah. Vahlshallah is basically the Brandenburg region.

I have another player starting in the Prussia region.

Anyway, it is truly up to you. If you start in Denmark you would have about 1/3-1/2 of the Peninsula depending on your focus on islands, and you would be decently economic (5/6) although your religious choices are somewhat limited and you would face lots of missionaries. Elsewhere you have a couple turns to develop as you'd like, but you have less trade and economic opportunities at this very moment.

If you use the search function for "named map" you might be able to find it.
As each thing becomes a problem you can ask me and I will respond ASAP.

As for being far into the game our players are VERY helpful. Ask mayor for an example. Also, as in real life, although distant history shapes our current geopolitics, only stuff that happens the last few years are of immediate importance. You can easily jump in after reading the last couple of updates before this one.
Well the first thing is is that Christos manages to play the game rather well. And all he does is "put all/most money intro troops and the rest into something else" without noting amounts, and then rambles about his brilliant military plans. Without spoiling anything, I would say the plan he made this turn was actually very very good.

The second thing is that the only two things you need to worry about is your cash and your troops. The other stats quantify your cultural experience and gives you things to strive for to change in your stats non military wise without anything coming of it. Having an influential culture is much much better than a limited one, especially if you start making inroads into your neighbors.
Ok. I'd like to say that RP contributions are all voluntary, and that I have minigames established to garner interest for closeted RPers. I do understand the feeling of being overwhelmed, and completely understand. :)
