Is it a good game? That's pretty subjective. Is it a good Civilization Game? I'd have to say no. There is no feeling of history or being part of a world where different peoples are struggling to survive. To me, it feels like a turn based strategy game with some minor economic elements.

Getting lame DLC that should have been included at launch is also a turn off. I haven't played CiV in months and just came in to see what people were saying about it after some patches. Meh.

I'm back to Civ 4. It's an infinitely better Civ game than CiV. CiV is my biggest disapointment since Spore. Thank god for BTS and mods.

The easiest way to fix it, as I see it, is to just add another "sniper" unit. That way, melee -> regular gunpowder units. Archers -> Sniper Gun Powder unit.
