I have the GOG version of Civilization IV Complete and I would like to install the game to Ubuntu. PlayOnLinux has a simple script to install the CD version of the game but not the GOG version. Please help me as I am clueless.
Hooray!
Secretly using a game-breaking strategy for 4 years is acceptable. But teasing the readers by announcing a game-breaking strategy and THEN keep it as a secret should be considered a crime ;)
I prefer threads, I am a slow player and following the cursor on videos is a pain :)
To be honest, I find the threads by Doshin not very detailed. It is nice reading (and ofc Doshin is a great player) but it is difficult to follow the build orders and such.
Rusten, nice game so far :goodjob:
Do you think that those few techs are really worth it? I mean, is it not better to completely wipe out Monty and settle all the continent yourself for maximum future research potential?
Are there any good deity lets plays in these forums? By good, I mean detailed and educative. I found some of them but unfortunately, most of them are several years old and inserted images are missing
Yes, World Builder Economy was my first thought too.
Work Boat Economy seems also weird.
Google further suggests West Bengal Economy or World Bank Economy :).
EDIT: Maybe it is Whaling Boat Economy!
Do worked cottage tiles grow during anarchy?
Also, do cities starve during anarchy?
I had an idea of adjusting all citizens to work cottages instead of high food/hammer tiles during anarchy to let the cottages grow to towns faster. Does it work?
What a fantastic thread!
Congratulations to both Kaitzilla and WastinTime!
WastinTime, would you please tell us now what is your new game-breaking strategy? (Or did you already do that and I missed it?)
By the way, I appreciate the effort of finishing and submitting the two games much...
You could also try to use map generator (althought it requires some time to learn how to use it). If you find a start with enough food AND two goldmines, all within the big fat cross of your capitol, then even a deity game feels like an easy immortal game.
