Of course you can turn it of. Look up the game options. There should be an option like "No location suggestions" or something like that (I just got the game yesterday and only played 4 hours :). So I can't remember EVERYTHING ;) ).
I had the same problem. My first movie (founding of Hinduism) ran well - as far as I can remember. All others had little audio skippings in a regular pattern - annoyingly. First I though it was a problem with EAX support, but switching back to stereo didn't help (didn't get worse either). I've...
I have an easy solution to offer for searching the Civilopedia.
For instance: You want to know more about the Building "Market".
Just go to the TOP menu of the Civilopedia, click buildings, click on ANY building and then an alphabetical list of the buildings will appear to the right were it is...
Yes, it includes English as well. The cool thing is, you can change the language even after you installed it.
I first installed it in German, renamed the directory to trick the installation routine, and installed it once more in English. - That was of course complete nonsense!
Just install it...
YESSSS it is available in Luebeck - Germany ... at LEAST ONE shop got it ... sadly not my favourite store ... but they might still get it today.
Anyway I will buy it today. AAAAAAA I'm so excited! :dance:
Thanks, by the way to Sulla. His walkthrough is like looking him over the shoulder...
Wohooa ... has been a long time since I visited this thread. I had to complete my job training and became occupied with WoW :D.
I will try to catch up with all the "new" posts :blush:.
Anyway ... I started to play with python again and I came across problem. I want the user to choose a...
The German computer magazine Gamestar has news concerning the hardware spcifications for cIV.
A spokesman of 2K games states that at least a 1GHz CPU with 256 MB of RAM and a graphics card with T&L will be required ... for best performance a Pentium 4 Processor with 512 MB of RAM and a graphics...
Seems like my post would become too big if I'd add my polymorphism description. So I post it here:
(See first part)
So where is polymorphism used?
I' ll try to make it simple at first. In my opinion the simplest thing you can do which can be described as polymorphism related is overriding...
Didn't mean to push you. For that reason I added a smiley :) .
That is correct? Where is your problem?
It only tells you that an actual Object of type "Card" is at memory position "0xa955da050" (hexadecimal) and so on.
Can you not print your card values? I tested GBM's Code and it works...
@vbraun
Uh ... man you have to become lazy! ;)
If you want to define 52 cards, why don't you define them as a list of objects?
Example:
from random import *
class Card:
# I'm not sure if the following lines are necessary
self.type
self.value
self.reserved
# These...
Didn't Firaxis say there would be NO city screen at all, all information accessible on the map and so on!? ... Obviously there is a city screen and I am relieved that there is one.
Hello to all, hello Gingerbread Man.
First I want to say that I have been with you and this thread when I first discovered it a short time after it has been announced that cIV would offer Python scripting. I read (almost) everything. Very good work! I'm happy to see this interested community...
I don't think what you FinnTitan described will be possible using only Python. I believe the trade system will be deeply integrated in the game code. So you will have to use their source code / ai SDK to change that. But that will also be possible ... they said they would release the SDK with...
