    Dammit egypt

The pyramids wonder reduces anarchy in Civ 1 (maybe 2?) and the effect stops working once you discover communism. In the other games the Pyramids have different effects.

Hexagonal Tiles have lost their flare

Fair enough about the complexity, it certainly wouldn't work on Civ 5. However, it wouldn't even need fine tiling, just relative points, and doesn't need to be real time, it can all be done in descrete turns. When I'm talking about the tile interaction, I'm talking about linking the unit to the...

    Dammit egypt

Not in 5, and the games it does reduce anarchy the effect is lost once communism is discovered Didn't think this would need defending, but I got the joke and was trying to poop on it :P

Hexagonal Tiles have lost their flare

Not talking about squares or hexes, but pure radial distances and full 360 degree directions. Hexes limit you to 60 degree multiples, so you cannot go directly north etc. This would take you off any grid completely for units, and it only comes into play when dealing with interactions - zones of...

Hexagonal Tiles have lost their flare

Radically, screw tiles completely for units. Take the diameter of a tile and have that as a unit of measurement. Every turn a unit can move that distance in any direction (or double if it has 2 tile movement etc). Throw in some cheap collision/proximity detection against a tile for when you want...

Hexagonal Tiles have lost their flare

octagons don't tessellate. They'd leave gaps, and would function the same as square tiles

    Interactive Automated Workers

I miss the public works system of the Call to Power games. I'd love to see an adapted version

    Blue Marble?

It's possible, but not with the installer. You'll have to manually replace the assets by extracting the terrains from the blue marble packs and put them in RiFE's assets folders. There's some extra terrains in RiFE that don't appear in FFH, and have their own xml files

Sullla's Ideas for a New Civ

The instability in the sense as it was a time of revolutionary sentiment and dissent over occupation amongst other things. Could the Christian revolution exist if the population were happier with their lot, and what are the psycho and sociological reasons behind their happiness. With currency...

    Combat odds

You could use World Builder, or reload I suppose. If you lose to a 99% win battle you could reload/replace the unit, but in the spirit of fairness, you have to do the same if you win a 1% win battle :p Just remember the FBI are monitoring

    Combat odds

That's the beauty of probability, as frustrating as it is. If you have a 90% chance of winning you still have that 10% of getting killed. Even if you get those 10% defeats 5 times in a row it's still a valid outcome - you'd have to play the same battle hundreds of times to show that 90% of the...

Sullla's Ideas for a New Civ

Yeah, it's the problem of innovation. For civ, we can set goals to to get technologies and ideologies we already know about, but it says nothing about the real world pressures on civilization for such things to develop. Invention in itself would exist with just individual human agency, and tech...

Sullla's Ideas for a New Civ

I used to like the idea of a tactical map, but now I would really love it if Civ turned away from direct combat, no micromanaging units and production but giving generalized orders. About production and city planning, should be asking could civilizations work without cities or hard-defined...
