Everybody here knew that this was gonna be a (very very) long term game. There will be times with faster turns again.
Maybe we could set up another way for diplo. Instant notice seems to...
As for the german team ... we are about 30 members, maybe 10 playing and planing. But everybody has a voice.
Diplomacy could be taken a bit more serious here ...

Do we want someone to create the map and check for balancing problems or do we just start with a generated map and live with it?
And what are the balancing options if we use a map creator? Like replacing...
Though I personally am with Maiar in this matter and would love to turn off everything that brings a "luck factor" into the game.

I see the point in your arguments. But apart from Egypt you can turn it around. Assume that Rome has a source of iron nearby which can be connected with the first city and another player with iron or horses that far away, that it would mess up the whole expansion strategy to connect them.
