when my cities finish producing anything, the box pops up of course and by default suggests i build a tank or mech infantry or some other type of military unit. my military is huge and i would rather it default to a civic improvement. is there something i can do to change what it defaults to...

well, i won in 1850 diplomatic. quite easily. 1850 seems pretty late compared to when some people build UN, but oh well. my score was about 1350. pretty lousy, i think.

great, thanks for the tips guys. i am up to about 1800 and almost into the modern era. i feel that the tech pace has slowed a lot, largely because i'm about 2 steps ahead of the computer and unable to do much trading. i chilled out on the reloading, and will definitely not do it after this...
