Can civilians, like Great General for example, get promotions? Of course not by battling but if they would have experience already.

Also historically civilizations settled the best areas, not the farthest from other civilizations :mischief: Like the idea, in some starts the neighbour would be just some tiles away and then sometimes more far. Though praetorians with the next player over 20 tiles away would just be too evil...
