Hi thanks a lot!
Also another question if you could help. Do you know here the icons are stored? Like I found the icon xml files but I can't find the actual pictures.
Hi peeps.
Does anyone understand how the civiliopedia is being created? / how do we create our own custom ones?
Like I understand that its built on top of a base xml file. And then it loads in other xml files from game/data folder. However is it just using lua to load all of it? Or is it...
I haven't done the whole calculations but I don't think so.
The reason is because campuses don't need a citizen assigned to them (for the beginning) when you're just relying on the adjacency bonus, while each ziggarut needs a citizen.
I think it really only helps with the first couple turns...
Probably just merge them. The reason why is because the current A&E doesn't have a minimal number of people to sustain any conversation which leads to a negative feedback loop of no one visiting it because there's no one posting.
no posts => no visitors => no posts
If you separate the Current...
I mean its not that bad of an idea kinda.
But I mean just wait for a mod to do it. Or like make a kickstarter for the mod if its a lot of graphics to make .... though I'm pretty sure some one on CFC will make a realistic graphic mod for the hefty price of an amenity.
Hi seek.
Do you know if this formula affects creating settlers?
Like if i have 4 districts versus 3 districts would the cost of my settler increase?
Because if it doesnt, then it encourages building more settlers up to a certain point.
I did some semi-math in another thread and basically around:
civ5 damage is akin to: e^( unit_A divided unit_B) comparing its strength
civ6 damage is akin to: e^( unit_A minus unit_B )
(its actually more complicated like 16.77*e^(.562*A/B) but close enough for comparisons)
But...
I also like grenadiers but as others have said normal aoe wouldnt work as itd hit too many tiles (6 and one in the center) .
Youd either end up with the aoe being too weak to really deal any damage or way too strong if you massed grenadiers.
However, I was thinking about endless legend and how...
The ranger is the upgrade of the scout you know...
Also i was more talking about how its on a different era. Like if the garde replaced musket men that would be more powerful.
Pretty similar to how the samurai while stronger than swordsman, comes in the latter era fulfilling the missing...
Its a bit different isnt it? Garde and the redcoat are the civ 5 equivalent of a rifleman. Theyre in the next era of industrial. While the musketman is for renaissance. True other civs wont have a comparable melee unit, but i think the time difference nullifies a lot of the strength bonus
Id be okay with this only if the favorite bonus activates in the medieval era or later. As others have stated having a rng bonus on top of the starting bias would be too strong. But i think if its ij the medieval era, then people would already have had time to settle new cities.
