I started watching over my brothers shoulder and 'playing' (to a very low degree of success) with civ1 when I was about 5. The game expanded my young vocabulary through that and civ2...not many others my age new the word 'Tenochtitlan' lol

Yeah definately not english...they are expansionist and non industrious. I'm thinking we could be the ottomans. The colour is largely influencing that though and based on past experience thats not realy much to go on.

Looking at the spoilers I think the fair majority of the high scorers moved inland. I know if I hadn't I wouldn't have gotten anywhere near the placing I did (9th).
