One side note: If you do this you will probably miss the diplo bonus and penalties. (traded with worst enemies / our trade relations have been fair) So use this with caution
I like the idea of ZoC. I think rather than disallowing certain movements, you should give the defending party a free strike or something. Perhaps archers and ranged units can punish violations more effectively compared to the other units
I think it is a good idea. A call to power or heroes of MM system. Combined with a fast combat option which displays the combat on the large map as in Civ 4. I dont understand why they avoid the obvious solution
Agreed. Actually they could solve this "limitation" problem easily without making the cities garbage, introducing global happiness etc. If they made all units resource dependent, limited the number of resources and the number of units that can be built per resource then the rest of the game...
I think this would be a great addition to the game. However there are some hardwired features that make this impossible. Attack probabilities, military build up parameters etc. are already fixed.
The last time I checked it was replaced with "build a huge carpet". ( Sorry to add this off topic comment: If Civ 4 is Simcity, I would say Civ5 is tictactoe. At least there were some tradeoffs in Civ 4. )
