Yes return to zork was the other one! I was trying to remember the name of it. Not sure about the floppies - it was a long time ago now.
Iron Helix, rebel assault and zork were all thrown in there because they were graphical/video showcases - "look how amazing the video on CDROM looks - just...
I first played civ from the exact same package... in addition to the microprose titles it also had CDROM games which although visually impressive (for the time) were mostly pretty lousy - Iron Helix and Rebel Assault. I was in grade 9.. which was probably about 1994 or so... I would have been...
I'm having my parents over for a dinner party and I'm making a Lamb Ragu with Rigatoni pasta.
Saw it once on Giada De Laurentis' show on the Food network - I watch it because she's smokin' hot but occassionally I see something I want to make myself.
Lamb Ragu With Mint
"Practically no one" is a bit of an exageration don't you think? 80% of places that take credit cards accept AMEX in my experience.
Besides - I wasn't actually trying to give a practical solution to the issue (since when has Off topic involved THAT?!!). Just pointing out that tax...
If the government is buying 10+ million of the things maybe they could work out some kind of volume discount? :)
But seriously - I have an AMEX myself and I like it but I carry a VISA also for that exact reason - a lot of small retailers don't want to deal with their ridiculous fee structure.
They should hand out gift cards... You know those AMEX gift cards that are accepted in any store that accepts AMEX credit cards? Send one of those in a $1500 demonination to every person that filed a tax return last year. Can't save it or hoard it.. it's only value is to go out and buy...
Yes I agree with you - it wasn't oscar worthy by any means but it was entertaining and fun to watch. Hollywood certainly produces MUCH MUCH worse these days.
(This might be the first thing you and I have ever agreed upon!)
The two worst movies I have ever watched hands down are:
Funny Games (the 2008 version)
and
Last Days (Almost NOBODY talks the entire movie - I kid you not. There's just some dude who looks sorta like Kurt Cobain walking around being crazy and making grunting noises for 2 hours)
I...
I've never understood exactly how tax cuts are expected to help the situation because they can never be drastic enough or immediate enough to stimulate economic activity - particularly with the fear hanging over everybody's heads.
I make pretty decent money and am single with little financial...
Miami Vice
Whenever I mention it everybody gives me a funny look and laughs even though they most likely haven't seen it. It's not a "film" by any means but there was always something I liked about it - the grit and darkness and music along with the coolness of the gun scenes. I don't...
Hi everybody,
Another question about bombardment - I've been reading the forums and have seen snippets of answers to this but never a definitive answer:
In civ3 Vanilla which bombardment type units (if any) can destroy (as oppossed to just damage) another unit via bombardment? And if it is...
Great thanks... that makes sense.
I no longer need the coal as I took a french city and got my own source but i just wanted to understand what I was seeing.
Thanks again.
