Fuyu, could this code be merged into Tester.py and a new version uploaded to this thread? I'd be happy to try it out. (If not, I'll play around with the original.) Thanks everyone, I'm looking forward to reinstalling Civ IV on this system and trying to play through this!

Interestingly, this might be exactly my same issue. It's been a while, but I think that I had damaged some of his ships, and he dropped troops on my mainland and then was (presumably) going to head back to safe territory.

Really excited to see some posts on this thread. Of course, my savegame is still attached earlier in the thread. I would be thrilled if a fix happened! I haven't played Civ IV since these problems happened, it was just so demoralizing to have a really good game spinlock like that.

I'd be totally psyched to try any solution if someone can provide explicit directions on how to install it.

Here's a really weird one. I went back 20 years or so, and did a few things differently. I knew he was coming with ships, to a particular area, so I moved some ships over that way. I managed to pick off his early arrivals, and migrated some land units there too, so that the units that landed...

Trying 1.00 is an interesting suggestion, but the exact same thing happens. Grrr... I'm not sure if it's helpful, but there's a light grey diagonally slashed area, all on water, near some enemy ships. I suspect that the system is either doing what you've suggested -- trying to group or...
