Leoreth:
Could you post a (short) list of updates to the SVN in the past month to a month and a half. I have not been playing DoC lately (or Civ), and would like to know what I've missed. :D
Turk is right. With 2 completely different other UHV's, a third UHV similar to one of China's shouldn't be too bad. It will be used in different circumstances.
The first goal for India is too easy on Monarch. Maybe founding Hindu, Buddhism, Zoro, AND one Late Game religion (like Christianity). That was always the challenge, and that is what made (well, makes) it fun.
@Leoreth. What about increasing the options of some of the resolutions available...
Lol. I was unaware the "musketeer" unit still existed.
Leoreth, I'm wondering if you had enacted any changes to the United Nations?
And have fun with "university" :goodjob:
Leoreth is right about any time frame of only 4 years is almost completely unworth of mention. I mean the Confederacy can be classified as a small rebel uprizing due to poor stability and can just be a small semi-random event that changes the American's civics from Slavery/Serfdom to something else.
Barcelona may be a major city, but if it is automatically built, then cities like Zaragoza (which is the kindom of Aragon... a major part of the spanish history) are not likely to be built. And besides, Zaragoza is a MUCH better city anyways.
I'm wondering. What's the likelyhood of getting...
I would also like to note on Leoreth's behalf that this idea was mentioned
times as his reasoning for CHOOSING Vienne as the capital of the HRE, with an intent of (after the addition of the Prussians) calling the HRE the Austrio-Hungarian empire.
Fabe: thank you for the insight on history...
It is NOT impossible to found 5 religions as India, just difficult and requires some luck. You research something like Meditation, Priesthood, Masonry, Polytheism (then switch to Slavery and Pantheon), construct the Oracle to found Monarchy (which founds Zoroastarianism) then b-line to Theology...
Chain Civs I have done (and like):
Babylon or Persia to Arabia or Turkey
Phoenecia to Spain (with Phoenecian colonies, of course)
I like these two choices because they are like a gradual change to the other...
Yes, but look at your Marseille in the 600 ad start, it is on the opposite side of the (Rhone?), but it was a good choice so that the player can build Genova on the stone, or Turin one tile north and not have to worry TOO MUCH about Marseille.
But as leoreth said, Paris deserves its BFC. If you put another city in that area, you will destroy Paris, Amsterdam, and Frankfort. I don't believe it is worth it to place Aachen, even though it was so important to Charlemagne, and the early HRE...
Personally, I like the idea of a well defended polish city. I suggest a city that doesn't interfere TOO MUCH with Konigsburg. Maybe Krakow?
Also, a defensive cataphract? That would be nice. I was thinking... why not give it the regular attack of a knight but give it additional attack within...
But that would be too easy!! The Cataphracts have to be powerful enough to at least be able to combat (in small numbers) a barbarian onslaught from the north, then the Arabs from the south and the Persians from the East, Romans from the west, possibly the greeks, babylonians, and Camel Archer...
