I concur. There's something crazy with stability. And it just makes it really frustrating rather than fun. I don't like to have to wait 15-20 minutes to even play, and then I get 15-20 turns in and my empire collapses. And I've tried this many times. The UHVs are fine. It's the stability that's...
Okay, the bug isn't inevitable, just crops up some times. I think it's an animation crash or something.
Probably doesn't matter, since I forgot how much I hate the design of this game because it is so aggravating due to the UHV's being purely chance, and very unhistorical despite the purported...
With both the 3000 BC and 600 AD versions, I'm getting an error where the game regularly crashes when I move a unit. I've played as China and Mongolia so far. There doesn't seem to any particular rhyme or reason as to what will cause the crash, only it's when I'll try and move a unit to the next...
Yes, I have patch o installed. After I replaced the Civ4UnitInfos.xml with this patched one, I get an error when the game loads because it can't find any of the correct XML files.
It was the game trying to launch at the end which caused an error. I realize that the other problem was I was trying to install it in the Fall from Heaven 2 folder. The game seems to be working now. I'll try and see if it will work in conjunction with More Naval AI (because I think I used to...
I don't remember what I did, I think this must have been it.
At the end of installation of the mod and of the patch, I get an error saying that it can't find Civ 4: Beyond the Sword
For the record, I used to play this mod combined with More Naval AI, and it was awesome! I did encounter a bug with the The Radiant Guard scenario, but it was fixable.
I'm not sure what happened, but the mod no longer generates (or no longer renders, not sure which) planet-based resources any more. This even includes save games in which the resources appeared.
I do have a 64bit OS, so the generic problem isn't what's happening here, but it's still probably a MAF error. It's a shame that this is an inherent limitation.
