    Leaders Pass

How is the game worse? Because of the bugs in the climate and diplomacy screens on iOS? Curious to know.

A couple of Information text errors with latest (Dec) Leaders Pack in IOS for iPad

I just logged in to report this bug. I was hoping that people knew a workaround. I reported this to Firaxis a couple of weeks ago and they actually wrote back and acknowledged the problem, but the rep said that he couldn't say when the problem would be fixed, if ever.

    Leaders Pass

Hey, maybe they will port it over in time for the new year! I think the main reason that I might buy the LP even at its slightly inflated price is to help show that developing for iOS is profitable, and they should continue doing so for Civ7. It'd be a shame if iOS became an orphan platform...

    Leaders Pass

Apologize for the griping, but $20 seems a bit much. PC users get it for free, and two of the expansion packs, both of which offered more content, were $15. Gathering Storm was $20 too, but that offered much more content. Wouldn‘t $10 be more appropriate?

Why does civ 6 feel so much easier than the older civ games?

The most important part of 2-4 units per tile as a possibility is that it avoids (or moves to a higher level of abstraction) the sliding puzzle problem. The AI’s archer wont be boxed in because of two mountains and 3 other units in the way. There is more “give” in the map. And the dumb AI won’t...

Why does civ 6 feel so much easier than the older civ games?

It’s odd to see 1UPT still debated after all these years. There have been so many analyses of the direct and indirect negative ramifications of 1UPT (most notably the cost of units and hence the cost balance of all other things) aside from the fact that empirically speaking, the two Civ games...

Why does civ 6 feel so much easier than the older civ games?

It’s not just you. The AI in civ 5 and civ 6 are not that good. The probable reason is the 1 unit per tile rule (1UPT) that civ 5 and civ 6 adopted. Before Civ 5, the AI could build stacks of doom, and was programmed to do this well. It’s much easier to execute : put 20 units in a stack and head...

Firaxis at 30, I'm celebrating 15 on civfanatics – final thoughts on Civ6 and the future

How I wish we could tinker with the support files on iPads and other platforms. I’d eliminate apostles and missionaries entirely.

Firaxis at 30, I'm celebrating 15 on civfanatics – final thoughts on Civ6 and the future

The worst part is, I have Civ VI on the Switch, so there's precisely nothing that I can odo about it. They introduced that bug ages ago, someone discovered it months ago, and nothing has been done about it. Do you say you can do nothing about it because if you had it on a PC, you could alter...

    Which Civs are easy mode?

And while we're at it, can we ask that the constant insults be turned off? It's been like this in all the civs and it's just tiresome.

    Which Civs are easy mode?

Boy does this hit the nail on the head. King or lower is just too easy. Above king, you have to forgo stuff that makes the game interesting, like building wonders in synergistic ways and founding religions. And still the AI isn't really good enough to win at Emperor+ — just good enough to make...

    Eliminate Religious Units?

Would turning off religious victory really change AI behavior?

    Eliminate Religious Units?

I play on an iPad because it’s nice to lean back while playing. I have a game now where the other civs are sending wave after wave of apostles to my cities and I realized I don’t really want to play this anymore as a result. They are ruining Civ6 for me. The Greeks rejected my request to stop...

Is Victory by Score Unavoidably Punishing?

Ugh, Radar, I got to turn 411 and the last Russian city flipped to me. I won by conquest. I'll try it your way
