What about matrixes and other high level crap like that? I just don't know how to cope with it short of devoting dozens of hours to Chivalry a week, and I don't feel the obsession.

I'm pretty good at doing that. I think I've spent at least 12 hours playing with just the halberd. What trips me up is other polearms and people who fight like Hollywood ninjas.

I am situationally aware 80% of the time. I rarely get flanked and murdered - I maneuver so I get 2v1 and murdered. I'm bad at running away. Usually play vanguard with halberd so it's not like it's hard to catch up to me.

MAA with knife and kite shield sounds hilarious though. I got forced into a reaaaally confined space once and took out my short sword and absolutely murdered a knight and a vanguard.

While both are valid, EP is... A bit abstracted. Investing into cities will do you good later, as I'll keep track of that investment, but while the world is so empty, you'd probably be better advised to expand.
