Downloadable content- what you want to see?

Yes, that's true....but that's just a representation of your troops 'digging in' and building makeshift fortifications. I'm talking about a fortress made of stone and mortar, (as in Civ III) and one that can't be broken by getting a settler to found a city next to it. Which really would add a...

Downloadable content- what you want to see?

I think that from a strategic point of view, a fortress is the most needed item of DLC for Civ Rev. After all, being able to hold chokepoints successfully (without starting a war) could potentially be a game winning strategy.

    The AI has no personalities

What personalities are we on about guys? I've yet to see any evidence that the AI in Civ Rev has any 'personality' at all, (other than a very binary state of being either at war with you, or NOT). Which to me suggests that an algorithm is being used, rather than a true AI.

Ask 2KG' Jason Bergman Your Questions

My question to Jason would be........ In the light of the general criticism that the AI in Civ Rev is too aggressive, (both, in reviews, and on the forums) does Firaxis/2K have any plans to respond to that, by perhaps toning it down a little?

    Ridiculous AI Aggression

I said the same thing when the game launched in Europe, and after hundreds of hours of playing it I still think it's true. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a terrific game, and I'm totally addicted to it. But the AI is just way too aggressive to the point that it can, (and often will) determine...

    A scoring Question

That's true, but your final ranking as a leader can be boosted dramatically if you choose to play on after achieving one or more of the victory conditions. In other words if you don't build the required wonder or 'SS What's it's Name' in a bid to be the first to finish. On one occassion, I...

    1000/1000 achievments

Thanks guys. Some great ideas there, and I really do appreciate the input. I think Thrallia may have hit the nail on the head with his mention of communism. Ironically, I had researched it in one game where I was getting just over 160 production per turn from one city, but as usual, stuck to my...

    1000/1000 achievments

I've got 905/1000, but still have three achievements left to get. Any tips on developing a city to produce 200 resources per turn, anyone?

    Bug on deity

That's a good point, and I stand corrected! There are a lot more variables at work in Civ than most other games, so I may have just been lucky and dropped onto a winning combination, by pure chance. Let's hope it gets fixed, asap.

    Bug on deity

That does seem to be the most likely explanation. I'm also on the 360, and I had no problem building the world bank on Deity level. So it definitely can't be a bug in the game.

    Can you move great people?

I know that the AI can demand one of your settled great people in exchange for a few turns of peace. It happens all the time in the full game, so it might just be possible for us to make the same demands of the AI. I've not seen it happen to date, though. It's generally a tech advance that...

Why are all the AI characters so aggressive?

Thanks for that, it sounds like excellent advice. I'll give it a shot later, and see how it pans out. Thanks again.

Why are all the AI characters so aggressive?

Perhaps not. But what it can, and will do, (if you don't give in to it's demands) is spend the entire game throwing everything it's got at you, and by doing so, hinder your own progress in the game. It's a serious flaw, imo. And something that Firaxis definitely needs to address.
