a fortified regular spearman in a metro stopped three of my MAs...
it was an elite by the time its frenzy came to an end.
i remember thinking... hmm, three armor sould be enough...
i like the 0 zoc idea.
but the longbowman still shouldnt get a 3 defense.
tho i agree the medieval infantry kinda nulls the usefulness of the longbowman. the only reason i would research invention now is if i wanted leo's workshop...
so make em cheaper and give em a 0 zoc but otherwise quit...
hmmm thats interesting. but how would u get rid of the disease? would it die off eventually? would u have to up the science production for the city? and how would it be marked? i think a purple cloud is a bit ridiculous... besides, it would obscure your units...
you have something here tho...
ya cant have longbowmen bombard better than catapults, thats ridiculous. to make them defend better than pikemen would be ok... nothing says a longbowman can put on a suit of armor, or some heavy chain mail. but the fact that the longbowman isnt a defensive unit wrecks everything. sure they...
give the ranged units, ie archers/longbowmen even riflemen zones of control
then, give the modern tanks and marines either a larger zoc or a stronger zoc.
lol
yea, i find the zone of control quite useful. tho it would be better and more realistic if the unit that is shot at attacks your tank...
most of the time when u get shot at u will shoot back. right?
but no, the battleship wouldnt be able to blow up ice berg...
even if it were sinking, thats a long time to aim and take out taht *cough* manpowered galley...
thats the only way. if u dont then its really gets annoying after a while...
but its really annoying when theyve got one or 2 settlers and keep respawning.
