Since the largest maps I play are usually standard sized, I would have to say that my fave is Democracy. However, if I were playing on Large/Huge Maps, I might change my allegiance to Communism, because of the Secret HQ.

I like the idea and I'd like to throw in my own interface pet peeve. While in city mode, you can scroll through all of your other cities by using the arrows up top, but you cant do the same w/leaders, and if you play huge maps, it's a bit of a pain to keep clicking back to the Foreign Advisors...

Personally, I always shoot for philosophy. The question is: Do I go for it before or after I research code of laws? If you think you can finish Code of Laws and Philosophy before another civ discovers Philosophy, then youve got Republic all to yourself, and you're Golden :D
