Oh yeah previous eras massively impact later choices. It's also your immediate needs too. Like if I'm near the beginning of a war or losing a war I'll take a militarist culture, or if I'm having food or production trouble it'll impact my choices. Still, it often boils down to one of two or three...
Been enjoying it for "free" on the Xbox PC game pass. Just the base game, no expansions or DLC. Right now I'm still working my way up in difficulties. One thing that might kill replayability is that I already find myself sticking to two or three specific cultures each era and find many of them...
The way Civ V pushes you to have very few cities always ruined it for me. 4Xs are always about pushing to get bigger and expand. I know people push the tall v wide narrative but in civ IV and Civ VI I often push for tall and wide. You can have empires with a few mega cities and smaller...
Easy, Monty. I like the early aggression paired with all the free builders for early infrastructure. I always feel like I'm in overdrive early with him. Then I get to decide if I feel like staying aggressive or pursuing a peaceful VC.
I second this.
Or just anything else every once in a while. I'm enjoying CKIII right now myself. Fought off the Vikings as The kingdom of Alba to create a Gaelic Britain. Ivar and Hvitsirk we're a PITA. I've taken major chunks out of France and Denmark. Curious to see how far I can go before...
They're evil divine right absolutists. That's why we shouldn't feel bad when we crush them...you know to bring in freedom and democracy...under our unending, immortal rule...and stuff.
I only really care in the very early game. Maybe just the first 4-6 cities. I like to have water in those so I won't have to worry about growth being stunted. Later satellites only need a couple districts to be worthwhile. You can use internal trade routes to build them or just buy those...
I've never played on a faster speed than standard. I have a friend that just bought the anthology for $15 (sweet deal!) and we're starting a few mp games. I opted to go with online speed because mp time can be limited and I wanted him to get a few games under his belt.
It almost feels like a...
Yeah, I've been saying this for a while now and I keep getting "nobody wants carpets of doom" type retorts. I'd be happy if at the bare minimum Civ VI AI built Civ V armies. Pretty small ask here.
Right. The player can still generate carpets of units easily. That's why explanations like "its tedious" seem so silly. This thread about why the AI can't compete, not why some people preferred stacks. The AI in 6 dont use their production bonus. Plain and simple.
With stacks you still had...
Legendary start is a weird setting. It just means you'll have a good combo of starting resources specifically at your capital. No impact on nearby settling spots. And everybody gets a legendary start, not just the player. So you could have the worst spot of the top 8 or whatever your map is...
