Why do you hate Europe?

Only a few of them look decent. The rest are just comically ugly (cough *teddy*). Even the female leaders aren't that great. What happened?

The doubled theming bonus in capitol is pretty strong if you can build a lot of wonders. They are more oriented towards late game so it might feel like you aren't getting any bonuses early on.

Well...they are pretty much dependent on a good forest start to take advantage of their longhouse. If you don't have a good forest start then you should reroll the map. If you are playing with no rerolling then the Iroquois are not a good choice.

They are situational. 1. They are on the tech path to CB 2. You don't need to spend gold to upgrade them early on (archer->CB) 3. They cost less hammers and move faster than CB. Usually if you are doing an early rush you are going to take some casualties anyway. A 3/3 mix can be pretty...

I cannot play this game as it is. The trade routes drive me insane and there is virtually no depth to the game to try new things.

They are really strong for early attacks, even if they aren't that useful later on.

Cities are extremely weak in BE.

I don't think the AI knows how to use them properly. Even if it did they would still be overpowered because of how much they add compared to other buildings/tiles.

I think it is unreasonable to expect a perfectly balanced game like civ on release. However, it isn't unreasonable to expect a finished game.
