That's awesome that you married Pieface! I wonder if anyone's done the next few logical steps to make him heir, have their leader die and rule as king pieface ? Might there be an achievement for that?
Thank you all for your answers. I had looked on the manual, couldn't find a mention and so assumed it couldn't be done. Hence I posted in this thread more as a suggestion. Will use the appropriate thread in future !
Are there not going to be any new mechanics in the vein of climate change or loyalty? For example, many people (myself included) were hoping for a corporations and a revamp of international trade.
The new content that has been teased does not allude to anything that changes the base game in...
As an aside, I wish that jungle tiles would get an upgrade in appeal once Conservation is unlocked. That would be more true to life, and also give Earth Goddess a nice boost in the end game, Eiffel Tower notwithstanding.
I enjoyed the fact that new world "barbarians " may occasionally coalesce into multi-city nations in Civ4 terra map. It made sense from a historical point of view .
If we look hard enough I'm pretty sure we can find examples of real life national leaders who have attempted to engineer a dark age, or at least, deliberately rolled back or halted years of progress, in order to allow the use of radical, high risk / reward policies. :rolleyes:
