It kind of feels like EU2 in space.

    Cultural Victory Trailer

There's a Cultural Victory trailer posted over at polygon: http://www.polygon.com/2013/5/10/4317928/civilization-5s-brave-new-world-expansion-trailer-details-culture I'm sure others more familiary with the expansion will pick out other new stuff. :)

Anno Domini (gods and kings version) due Feb 2013 - includes previews and information

Really looking forward to this - looks like an excellent project and focuses the game on the eras that I'm most interested in playing. So.... will it see light today?

How many hours have you played Civ 5?

My wife didn't like all the burnt food coming off the grill, so I don't do that anymore.

    [BETA] Putmalk's Ancient Mesopotamia

Playing the Hittites and having a blast. Awesome mod so far. I'm playing Prince (usually play King for vanilla) and I'm having a not-so-easy time - which is good! One comment: Lake Van (I think it's called...) has pearls and another resource present, but the tiles are lake tiles so you...

    Tectonics

This was my favorite map script for Civ 4, but for some reason I never tried the Civ 5 version... guess I thought the vanilla continents map was good enough. I WAS WRONG! The Tectonics script is as awesome as ever, and so much better than anything that comes with the game. I know I'm late to...

queen of the iceni mod xml error?

This is easily fixed - you only need to make three small changes in two xml files (which you can edit with Notepad). First, navigate to the mod folder for Civ 5; in Windows 7 the default path is: C:\Users\[Your Name]\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\ Once there, go to...

cultural winning in civ 5 is plain stupid

Uncheck the box if you don't like it. You only have to play with the victory conditions you like. Seems simple enough. :)

What Would Gandhi Do? - AI Rebalancing Mod

Back to this game now. Turn 103 finds me at war with Egypt and the Iroquois. They didn't like when I settled my fourth city - I was getting the "Building new cities" negative from them, but that went away when they declared war. I would note that other than my rapid expansion and perhaps...

What Would Gandhi Do? - AI Rebalancing Mod

No idea. Apparently the AI knows what I'm doing better than I do!

What Would Gandhi Do? - AI Rebalancing Mod

Then I'll keep it coming. :) Ok - had to start a game on a different computer because the brother-in-law is staying in my study. Same set up (12 Civs on a Standard continents map with low sea levels. Everything thing else is default, Prince difficulty) but I went random Civ and got Askia...

What Would Gandhi Do? - AI Rebalancing Mod

I've only played a little bit. 12 Civs on a Standard continents map with low sea levels. Everything thing else is default, Prince difficulty. I'm playing Napoleon. It's turn 55 and I've met five Civs. Interestingly, three of them think I'm trying to win in the same manner as they are...

What Would Gandhi Do? - AI Rebalancing Mod

This sounds great - do the modified aspects of diplomacy help reduce the rampant denunciations? Is there a way to change the threshhold for denunciations? I'll give this a try when I get home and hopefully get you some feedback later.

    The Great Backtrack continues

I still think destroying a building should incur a COST, not provide some benefit. People don't like when you take things away; maybe a minus in happiness equal to the building's upkeep for some number of turns. I'm just glad that they're not caving completely and going back to the +/-...
