I know what the point of this thread is supposed to be. What the thread actually is is a quagmire of overanalyzation. You want to help? Fine, give to a charity. You don't want to help? Don't bother.
Donate food to food banks or give money to charitable organizations that buy food for the poor and hungry. If you have more than you need, there are plenty of places you can give to that will make sure your surplus gets to those in need of it.
THERE IS NO OIL ON MARS! The conditions for oil formation never happened on Mars! You need LOTS of biomass and an active geology, and as far as we know Mars never had either.
Pardon my pointing out the obvious here.
If you want to develop a plan to drill into the crust of Mars, isn't it logical to get help from a company that has a great deal of experience at drilling?
