If you go to the ambience sfx folder in Civ 3 you'll find there's only 8 ambient sounds. In mods I've encountered that have had their own custom sounds, they simply replaced these available sounds. Is it possible to add additional sounds or are you stuck with 8?
Anyone know how to run the game on a second monitor. I'd like to play it between matches of other game instead of wasting my time browsing social media
I know this is an old thread, I had the same issue but running Windows 7 Compatibility mode and as administrator solved the problem for me
Granted, don't have performance issues but I'm running much newer and more powerful hardware than OP
64 bit, Manjaro, 5900X at 1440p
Not getting a Steam Deck personally, but I think it's something to consider steam deck. I know it doesn't make sense given Linux is already on here but steamdeck has a different handling system and an odd resolution. Of course, Steam Deck compatibility would add...
For the modding side of things, I have a lot of possible suggestions.
I don't know if they're AT ALL feasible but I'd love to see these two: Make retreating from combat toggleable (Rather than automatic based on unit speed). This would allow one speed units to retreat. Or would allow certain...
No MPP, first nuke dropped, I know it's Carthage because the only other civ NOT at war with me is the Hittites and they declare war as a normal message afterwards
I made the mod (Very WIP), didn't edit any of those files or the tribes name. And if I do something BEFORE nuking the English (Like moving a unit) it correctly displays that "the Carthaginians" declared war on me. Whereas if I reload the save and immediately nuke the English, it shows it as "the AD"
So I'm playing a modded version of the game (The Civilizations names and all are completely unchanged), nuked the English out of curiosity to see who would declare war, Carthage and the Hittites, so I decided to reload again and nuke again to see if that'd change and it says the AD declared war...
I tried looking around to see if I could find an extended version of the buildings-large.pcx and the buildings-small.pcx (including all of the C3C graphics) but I had no dice, the only files I could find were for other mods and were the same length as the default pcx graphic (which is of no...
Having another issue with your editor. It doesn't seem to open unit_32.pcx files, I have been able to work around this by simply using the built in game editor to edit units but I figured I'd let you know if you weren't already aware.
