Removal of 1UPT limit is bad.
1. Ruins all tactics of combat
2. Returns dumb SODs
3. Leads to memory leak and possible crashes.
no offense to the author, understand he did what other guys wanted...
I love 1UPT limit and consider this to be one of the MAJOR improvements to CIV series.
Stacks are sooo dumb and unbalanced, they totally ruin combat tactics. Also lead to memory leak...
With large army you can conquer many lands to build many cities to maintain large army.
Easy, huh? :p
...let me add that this strategy worked well in the real history of Russian Empire BTW.
The real thing is that with limited special resources you must chose between Longswordmen and Trebuchet.
With Russia you can just chose both!
...England could counter double Longswordmen with their Longbowmen who do not require Iron apparently. But then Russia will counter Longbowmen with...
Child's play. With double Iron you can spawn a lot of swordsmen to kick off an enemy from a Horse resource. And Iron - this one is everywhere :crazyeye:
And on top you got a pretty Empress and that's a huge bonus in Special Diplomacy rounds ;)
There are many threads regarding different civs like the one full of worries about the French or weird looking Siam or monster India and others.
And there is Russia. With beautiful Empress. With Cossack guys zerg rushing Industrial era rivals. With bonus to Uranium which'll provide you with...
Actually the same thread repeats every time with every other game with DLC. And its always pointless. Cause this is how devs and publishers are making money now and have constant income to support a multi million title.
...I wonder about new threads when they announce Spain as DLC civ :crazyeye:
Next thing you ask is CiV for free and a real BMW.
Guys from Firaxis are making a wonderful game and they have a right to do some dollar out of this. Live with it.
