    Denmark Mod

This is true, but the name may originally have meant "A person coming from Viken" - a region south of Olso in Norway. In C3C atleast the Byzantines had the Dromon and the English had the Man-o-war. Going back to the discussion about the Teutonic Knights, I noticed that the unit replaces...

"The Viking" as a unit in general? - so, a settler/worker with A/D? :) If it should be a unit from the Viking Age and represent Denmark, then the Berserkir would be a good choice - because of the twelve berserkers of Rolf Krake. But since it is a Danish mod and not a Norse mod, I still...

From Wikipedia: "The Order was formed in 1190 by German merchants in Palestine to give medical aid to pilgrims at the holy places. They received Papal orders for crusades to take and hold Jerusalem for Latin Christianity. They were based at Acre. When the mission of the Order in Palestine was...

Excellent mod - just a few notes: I agree with JuuL that C4 shuld be Industrious and Creative (or perhaps Industrious and Spiritual) - they are much more representative of his rule. I also agree on that Representation is a better favourite civic for C9. Expansive is probably not a good trait...

    Memory-fix by Harkonnen is out!

I have tried both patche 1 and 640 on my desktop now - P4 1.6 GHz (socket 423  ), 512 Mb ram, GF4 Ti4800 128 Mb, AGPx4 - and as I noted earlier, I do not get any significant performance increase. Both patches does save > 100 Mb of memory, but it does not seem to have an effect. But I do not...

    Memory-fix by Harkonnen is out!

@Harkonnen: I have tried the old version of your patch, but unfortunately with only little improvements. However, I am not only using the Blue Marble terrain but also have a GF4 Ti4800 card - which as you note seems to only benefit little from your patch. I wonder if it is something specific...

I do not believe that the chipset drivers are normally installed in that way. You can search the disk for a chipset driver or download the latest version from the ASUS site. If you are in doubt, I can try and help you find the right version. Are you using the normal XP version or the 64bit...

Have you installed the chipset drivers? It could be a problem that you are using an ATi graphics card with a motherboard using an nVidia chipset - but I am not sure about that.

It is possible that you need to install either chipset or agp drivers. If in doubt, you should consult your motherboard manual.

Firaxis and Laptop Owners: Alienation of a Core Demographic

I have an IBM ThinkPad R40 with an ATi Radeon 7500 Mobility - with TnL. It passes all requirements - minimum and recommended - on the srtest.com site. I can play Sid Meier's Pirates! without any problems, but I can not play Civ4. I have the notorious black terrain and floating leader eyes and...

    European Union v.2.0

There are research facilities on Greenland. Weather stations and various ice core projects on the ice sheet (my girlfriend have been part of some of them). But there are not a lot of personnel involved in those projects at any one time. Most danes living in Greenland are teachers, medical...

    European Union v.2.0

Greenland and the Faroe Islands are a part of Denmark - their Head of State is the Danish Monarch. But they have limited self-government, and are not technically part of the European Union.
