the .bat file has the same results as loading it through Advanced>Load a Mod; loading back into Vanilla BtS.
I enabled the logging, and got this set of logs from trying to load C2C. I skimmed through some of the larger ones but of course I wouldn't know what to look for. Which of these logs is...
It's not loading the mod; it's loading Vanilla BtS. It's loading *something* though which is better than I could say 24 hours ago, I guess?
I did try that, and saw it get recreated in the same fashion when I tried to open the mod again.
I could do that if all else fails, but I'd like to be...
For the first time I did a proper, drive-wide search for the .exe instead of just the folder, and I did find it: C:\Program Files (x86)\2K Games\Firaxis Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4 Complete\Beyond the Sword. The additional 2K Games is why I couldn't find it previously. That helps a lot...
Hey all, so I finally got back around to playing Civ4 and I wanted to either pick up my old save from C2C or start again if I couldn't find it (which may end up being the case; new computer), but I'm having issues even starting up the mod.
I did some poking around, and it seems like I'm having...
There may not be a need; a sent in a claim and within a day it was cleared up. I just need to do that for EVERY video, but it still works. And I'm a person who has always loved game music, even when most people don't (League of Legends, Minecraft are two examples), so it better fits my personality.
Well I guess this is the best place to ask:
Youtube has been throwing claims at me regarding the music in some part of my videos. They seem to be written by "James Gordon." Did you use his songs in your game music? And also, which option/reason would I pick for disputing the claim?
I sent in...
Hm, I thought I had the OBS-recorded music turned way down (like 42% of original). Audacity tends to pick up the music very weakly along with my voice, so maybe I need to play around with balance a bit more. That and I also need to stop falling into a mutter as my trail of thought just goes...
Well I have absolutely zero idea what I'm doing, and that's my first video with voice so I was pretty nervous/flustered. Perfect combination, and you get exactly what you want with me... Discovering everything.
Hello world!
I just posted my 2nd Youtube video overall, and my 1st Civ4 one as well as my first game of C2C. It'll certainly be an... interesting journey to go through with me, to say the least.
Note: I'll be linking the most recent video as well as the playlist in this main post.
Link to...
Update: It now works! The problem was probably the fact I was still running Civ 3.17.
Self-Plug: Check the LP forum board in a few hours for a video of my first shot at the mod!
I'm not using the in-game one, I'm using the link I was given. The .exe doesn't do anything for me though.
EDIT: Tried a different mirror, that one works. Testing the mod itself now.
Okay, so I checked and it seems I still am running 3.17 (Civ Version: 317).
Now, for me to be a complete and total noob when dealing with technology: How do you get the patcher to work? I've clicked the thing like 10 times, and clearing it when it gives me the security popup each time. Still...
I had it at that path, then I watched Quill18's video and he described the path I gave you. Currently sitting at your Option 2 download in both file paths now, and same issue. Looking at the 'init' log earleir, I noticed that about a minute after I clicked the GO button, a line in it comes up...
