Found it, thanks! The game seems to run great. The problem with having to force quit is less of a deal now that the game is run in a window; I can just option-click on the icon to dump it. I'm running the game directly as Civ4 without launching through Steam, but it does log me into Steam...

This is working up to step 8. I got the windows EXE to point to the right address, but then what do I do? Do I press install software and if so what file do I point to?

I followed your instructions up to Step 5 but then got lost because I bought Civ 4 on Steam instead of on a disk. I'm a novice to this process so could you walk me through what I do next? It would be great if I could get this to work because I'm not sure I can play plain Civ again after reading...

I couldn't find any info through my searches. Does this mod work on the Mac version of the game downloaded through steam? I like to play on my laptop and this mod seems fantastic.
