If Civ 5 was called Slatbang Walla developed by Clownaxis and published by 3L it wouldn't have lasted more than a month on the selves. That's judging Civ 5 on it's own merits... take away Civilization as a franchise and Firaxis as a Dev and you have nothing left to keep it standing.

We want to make sure we keep the same amount of depth as you would see in Civ 4. The use of the word depth in any sentence used to describe CIV V should be a felony... Using it in conjunction with Civ IV should be a capital offense.
