    Anybody have success with Mongolia?

Yeah, but with the balance of the game, its tough to take out EVERYONE in 40-50 turns. Especially with continents, when you have to wait to get navigation to get to the other continent.

    Warmonger Question

So there are three caveats to warmonger penalties: 1: You mentioned already, that you get abated a little for liberating cities. And, its a way to power down the Civ before going after the other cities. 2: With a patch from a year or two ago, warmonger penalties are reduced depending how early...

    Anybody have success with Mongolia?

I feel like one of my missions before I give this game up for good is to win a 8-10 Civilization game with Mongolia (I always play at Emperor level). It just seems so easy and enticing at the time. I think that the Kesik is pound for pound the best UU in the game for its era, and I'm a big fan...

You broke your promise to move your troops away from the border

I think that successfully fighting a combative war is just much more complex and subjective compared to one of the other victory types. It's always the same issue across the real time strategy and turn based strategy games. The AI doesn't see attacks coming, the AI never takes their navy...

You broke your promise to move your troops away from the border

I think that it's actually a good part of the game, that adds some balance to the AI. Remember all of the neurons and connections inside your brain that make you the deadliest supercomputer ever created? For something as complex as a game like this (not like something as simple as chess or...

    Shaka melee unit cost

So I guess the idea is that the civ is really geared for the Medieval era. I guess that's the trade-off for being so overpowering. You just need to get the game wrapped up as early as possible.

Why does Korea have worthless UU?

I like for my maps to be analogous to our world, so I usually do continents. Ergo, exploration is a must. And somebody mentioned how Korea is strictly a defensive civilization. I pointed this out, but I also pointed out that in the higher levels, you'll probably need to take some cities too...

Why does Korea have worthless UU?

I like their UA fine, but does anybody ever find any use for Turtle Ships or the Hwach'a? Turtle Ship: The whole point of a Caravel is supposed to be to have a unit that specializes in map exploration once Navigation is researched. Everything about the unit is designed for exploration: its...

    Why Attila sucks

I feel like with the Huns you should be playing domination and never founding a city other than the original anyway. Capture the cities you need.

    Korea and the Great Library

But the issue would be how could you ever get a Library and a GL in BEFORE anyone else gets to just a GL? It's usually impossible to just get a GL.

    Most useless wonders in game

And that's kind of OK. We already know what stuff is like in the 21st century. The point of the game is to play through the ages and get the historic feel.

Are there diplomatic rewards for doing good?

It depends. Liberating cities is probably more useful early on, late game its only strategic. Early on, it's a way of taking out your foes cities, and hoping your war mongering rating in the process. It's also early enough that you can start building a good relationship with another empire...

    Sid Meier's Civilization VI announced!

I wonder if the way that they're narrating the new game implies that it will be more of a true nation building build, and less of a war game like its been. I also wonder if "more than one way to declare war" means that late game wars can become wars against extremist groups where you put...

    World Wonders Go Quick!

Yeah, I think that's why it's so hard to win the culture victory, and why domination is so easy. With culture, you have to wonder whore, and with domination, wonders are a waste of time because you'll just steal them anyway.

Civ 5 Equivalent to America's Modern Wars

I don't know, I think that nukes really suck in the game. You're rolling along, doing well, and then all of a sudden at a moment's notice if they have a city in range, they can level half of your population of a city, take out all your improvements, and take a swipe at your military. I think it...
