I've only ever had a crash to desktop once. I restarted the PC and the game and it did the same thing. I restarted the game and used DirectX 9, played for a bit without an issue. Next time I played DirectX 10/11 and there wasn't a problem.

Puppet them if they have a reasonable location and population. You get their science benefits and you can spam the land with Trading Posts for gold (puppet cities always focus on gold). Puppets don't increase the cost of social policies so the only real cost is happiness and opportunity cost...

Does the Khan healing ability stack with a unit's Medic promotion?

I've seen the Diplomacy by numbers thread, which is great. But is there a list of the actions that impact diplomacy? E.g. DoW more than once leads to a warmonger negative modifier.

I've had it before, can't remember any of the specifics, but its definitely happened to me before.

I hope there aren't too many techs towards the end of tree. Don't get there very often (either won, dominating so hard that I can't be bothered to finish, or lost) and most of the time the strategical choices aren't that interesting.
