Someone will have to break my fingers to extract the 5$ from my cold, lifeless hands before I hand over more money for DLC on a game that is only half finished.
just my 2 pence worth :)
EDIT: Totally agree with you SerriaFox...unfortunately the quality of Civ5 in the genre does not stand up...
Are you sure? There's a thread over in Creation and Customization giving a tutorial on how to turn Civ4 graphics into Civ5 graphics...which is great news for all of those trying to create the mods needed for Civ4.5
Get over it....It really is very simple. Don't open up the "hate" threads...read the title...it usually gives a clue (mostly)
It really matters very little if you don't read or participate in those threads. Is the real issue that you want your readable threads on that front page, rather than...
Wrong...ice core samples from Antarctica go back 750,000 years.
Read this and learn a little.
In all fairness I only know because I was preparing a talk on Ice Ages...which according to the ice cores are about to return [at least the next glacial period is - we are currently in the...
Civ 1 Civ 2 Civ 4 Civ 5
One of these games is not like the others,
One of these games just doesn't belong.
Can you tell which game is not like the others
By the time we finish our song.
Did you guess which game was not like the others?
Did you guess which game just doesn't belong?

...and I feel cheated. If I had known beforehand that Civ5 was going to be for casual gamers I would certainly not have bought it. But they have my money now...are they going to get any more of it...HELL NO!
The only saving grace is that it is moddable...but I didn't set...
It's stupid as its unrealistic, and it should be binned. [My opinion of course]
Do you really feel you deserved that win? What points score did you get out of it?
Probably the best thing you could do is go spend a few dollars on a budget game called Civ4BTS...won't cost you much, quite old now. Play it a few times...try a few mods...
...and then come back and see if you understand what the fuss is about.
I totally see your point of view, but where would you go from there? No developer would ever produce a game as good as Civ4BTS straight away if there were not the possibility to add the obligatory 3 expansion packs over the course of five years...been that way since Civ3 at least.
In an ideal...
I posed a question similar to this some time ago. It seemed to me that there must be a happy cap which optimizes the number of cities you can have.
Clearly, luxury resources are a key factor here...and with there being a fixed number of different types there must clearly be a fixed amount of...
Every one is entitiled to their own opinion of course, but judging from the tone of a lot of the posts and polls on this site I'd say that a lot of people disagree with you.
The thing is...five years back that might have been an excuse when there was only one processor in my computer....but now that there are four...or however many?!?!
Turn times in Civ are not something we have seen improve over the years much, despite what seems like a larger leap forward in...
