So my first ever civ was civ5 base game and I was very new to strategy games in general so I only played on very low diff levels for 100hr or so. I then got civ6 which i truly got the next turn bug and have 1000 hours in.
Ive since gone back and played more of 5 and recently played a bunch of...
Had to laugh and comment back on this one. You mean immunity is a thing lol. Even if you believe in the flawed testing, Sweden did rather better than other countries according to all the statistics. Paradox also like most companies moved to home working the entire time. That im pretty sure would...
For me Ive played 800+ hrs in civ6 and I enjoy it a lot. But overall the new frontier pass wore off quickly. I stopped using game modes so to me its a bit of a disappointment and id rather theyd just improved balance, current features and AI of the game. So I was waiting for Humandkind. Played...
I have wondered this. I've played since release and the AI has gone through a lot of changes. To me it feels like when the game first released AI was far to easy to beat but improved in the time after with patching and balancing. However since the major expansions, especially GS I think the AI...
Yeah I turned the mod of because of gpu driver crashes with this mod switched on. Although overall I actually like vanilla graphics over this mod. I can actually see stuff on tiles in vanilla.
I tried playing with this mod but I've got so used the default art style I had to switch it off. It looks nice and is a nice throwback but I find the default one easier to use and find things.
It's taken me 2.5 years and over 500hrs of gameplay but I finally won a game on Emperor!
It was the most exciting game of Civ I've played with a science victory on turn 434 with Sweden 7 turns away from a Culture victory!
Civ-Maori
Speed-Standard
Difficulty-Emperor
Map-Pangea
Map Size-Huge...
So yes good value for money and basically gives us another 2 years of playtime hence the near new game price. Otherwise theyd have to release a whole new game every year or two just like EA and Activision do...
Haha this is usually how i think about value for money. Eating out or drinking out for one evening is normally the price of a game or even more! Compare the hours and hangovers the games work out better value.
I initially saw the price and thought wow thats expensive but seeing this list its totally worth it. It will add another 100hrs of gameplay at least and these days i get half that from 55quid AAA games....alah red dead 2 and poor strategy games alah Jurassic World Evolution.
Each patch and expansion they balance and improve AI in the game. I think the AI is way better now than on first release and on Emperor even I have lost some cities and lost my capital one. Early warring Civs are a challenge now and they surrounded my cities with good numbers and used them well...
I had one of these city state emergencies in my second game of R&F. It was against my neighbor the Cree. It was a really fun mid-game event. I'd been to war with the Cree in the early game and had some loyalty issues with them so was great to go to war and liberate the City-state they had taken...
