I'm on GnK immortal and i'm about to go conquer Austria, the only (remaining) civ with more points than me. Admittedly I got a mountainside desert floodplain marble triple oasis start with lots of oil. As arabia. and got Petra. So maybe it doesn't count.

If you're a warmonger you probably need more cities for unit production anyway, which leads to more supply usually. don't build more units than you'll need

i find they actually pick that one a lot, as well as itinerant preachers. so sometimes i'll just settle for defender of the faith

on high difficulties there's a lot of competition for those enhancer and follower beliefs. if you want your religion to spread like the plague or to the far corners of the earth, you need to enhance first

The only early game wonder I've bothered with is Stonehenge, since most of the AIs prefer the other ones a lot more.

Emperor was easy mode compared to this. Anyone got some general tips? I try to play a super peaceful early game, trying to be as friendly as possible to nearby AIs so they'll let me get away with secure a few prime spots (eg. mountain spot with jungles or lots of food for science city)...
