i came back to these forums trying to find out if they had fixed this game yet, and apparently they haven't. i highly disliked civ 5 due to content and performance issues, and will not be buying any expansion/dlc or civ 6.
yeah just beat a deity game the other day taking over my continent and then never getting declared on from the runaway ai, liz, on the other continent. she was in future era a few techs before i was and never even made apollo program before i escaped to space.
Yes it helps on a city basis (not your whole empire) if it is in the radius of that city. You can see this by hovering over the production for your marble city when a wonder is in production.
so far i've only settled on food resources, and it actually has removed the food bonus from the tile from 3 down to 2. but since food isn't usually a problem in this game, it wasn't a big deal.
well said. the arguments for civ 5 diplo have all included the AI throwing diplo out the window since they are "trying to win the game." thus i don't see the point to diplomacy in civ 5.
for me, there is now no point in playing "diplomatically", and it sucks all the fun out of the game since there are much better war games out there than civ.
