Wow - this has been driving me crazy for about four years now... finally - back to Erebus! Thanks both for the fix and for the clearly titled issue thread!

It doesn't anymore - I have tried two days in a row (jan 3-4 2013) and I keep getting "wait for a mirror" which never appears. The main download works fine tho.

Orbis with the Leaders Enhanced ModModMod by a hair over FF+ (just for the Ngomele) I switch over and back between the two because that keeps me fuzzy over what exactly I can expect from the AI's which keeps it interesting.

Not quite an invasion, but I played an FF Game as Jotnar, had my super Efficient Stack o'doom crushing the Matzl & Ljolsfar at the top end of a peninsula - i.e. concentration of almost all of the heavy hitters I had (blitz*move 5*Cyklopses) at the far end of a landmass - and one after the other...

What he said - a map loaded weird snaky continents on me where every city was a port - I went FT with a big OO based religious push and the torrent of money pouring into my coffers meant I could just spam disciples and turn them into cultists or stygian guard as they were shambling to the front...

Fully agree - and it just keeps getting better...

Griffons - because spiders at least stick to the forest and you can sometimes figure out where they're lurking but griffons regularly jump out of mountains or over straits to chew on hapless scouts.

I find ljosalfar wonderfully easy to play - you don't need to make any decisions on improving you terrain - especially with flavourmod starting them in forests. Hunters with Hawks were a revelation (air recon in early game!) for me, and the Fellowship of Leaves both compliments and comes...

I like the ideas behind Wild Haven, Academy of Everchanging Paths and Warriors Rest a lot, especially Wild Haven.

Amen. Plus, I find that trying to take out spiders and bears/gorillas with just scouts or warriors means you're fighting for terrain advantage just to break even but hunters get you that much closer.

Fall From Heaven 2, one of the best things ever. I've been a Civ fan since Civ I and FFH is just great. I have about two years of sitting in a compound in Africa ahead of me, with FFH2, the scenarios and then all the modmods, it looks like I'll be cheerfully occupied for sometime to come...
