Aptly enough, a few games later we got a huge influx of Realpolitik players from Civ4 S&T that pretty much rewrote the community. Still, in retrospect I'm amazed we managed to assemble a coherent hobby out of this. XD

Side comment: I have a friend called Þorvaldur, but being Icelandic, he pronounces it (soft-th) Thor. How do you pronounce Thorvald? (I'm guessing just as Tor-vuld.)
Close. In Norwegian the 'd' is actually silent, so it's 'Tor-val', though to English speakers it'll sound more like 'Tuhr-val'.
And I thought that Germanic languages were *easy* to pronounce. :p
At least it's not Finnish. ;)
