The need for tank destroyers appeared from the start of hostilities when France had no such cannon. With the exception of the Laffly W15 TCC, which was put into production in May 1940, we can imagine, in the June panic, grafting anti-tank on all the available chassis. The assembly of the 47mm gun on the Lorraine tractor is one of these achievements, but carried out too late to be able to be usefully deployed.
