The mod will now refrain from taking effect if there are more than 12 players in the game (the max number supported by the Civ VI base game).
The current version of the mod was built to handle a maximum of 12 players. It has not been tested with higher numbers of players. With the current algorithms employed by the mod, too many players could potentially crash the game due to the complexity of analyzing so many starting position combinations.
Future versions of the mod may support a higher number of players. If this is a feature that you would like, feel free to let me know by posting a comment.
