Distant Multiplayer Start 1.04

Distant Multiplayer Start functionality has been re-applied on top of the updated Firaxis code from the recent patch, ensuring that the mod and latest version of Civ are fully compatible. The mod is also fully compatible with the Rise & Fall expansion pack.
The Civ VI patch released by Firaxis in November 2017 includes an updated version of 'AssignStartingPlots.lua'. An adjusted version of this script is used by the Distant Multiplayer Start mod.

The 'Fall 2017' Civ VI patch includes an updated version of 'AssignStartingPlots.lua'. An adjusted version of this script is used by the Distant Multiplayer Start mod.

Distant Multiplayer Start functionality has been re-applied on top of the updated script from the Fall 2017 patch, ensuring that the mod and the patch are fully compatible.
The mod will now refrain from taking effect if there are more than 12 players in the game (the max number supported by the Civ VI base game).

The current version of the mod was built to handle a maximum of 12 players. It has not been tested with higher numbers of players. With the current algorithms employed by the mod, too many players could potentially crash the game due to the complexity of analyzing so many starting position combinations.
