These units can be used to replace the normal (male) great scientists. Both units use the animation of the non-modern scientist, but through their design it should be clear which unit belongs to which era. The polycount of the first unit is rather high (2265 triangles), but I hope this won't be too much for a unit that only appears a few times. It is btw a reboned and slightly modified version of the Pirates! barmaid that was introduced to Civ 4 by ploeporpengal (as far as I know).
The polycount of the modern scientist is 714 triangles.
