A fantasy scenario modpack with cool retro graphics by Dustin Dunn based on Final Fantasy 6 (3 US) for SNES.

Mod files rescued from DSquared's Zandanian League backups and repacked in 7zip by Blake. Successfully tested in Civ2 MGE, although is incomplete. Also there was no Title.gif so Blake added one for fun.

This is a unfinished alpha of a huge FF6 total conversion scenario modpack project created by Dustin Dunn. While it is quite loadable (via savegames) and explorable it is not really playable. Dustin released his work in the hope that maybe someone else would finish it one day so there is extensive documentation about what was already done and what he planned for the future should anyone wish to take on the mantle. However Dustin's original vision for the mod was quite grand and complicated so perhaps a more simpler scenario could be made from his excellent work for casual fans to play?

Scenario discussions, comments, bug reports, feedback can be found here:

This project was likely inspired by the excellent Final Fantasy 4 (2 US) Scenario Modpack by Frank Johnson that Dustin helped out on here:

File added to this area as part of Blake's lost scenario/mod files restoration & cataloging project which can be found here:

Original Description/Intro:
Final Fantasy 6 Scenario Incomplete Version
By Dustin Dunn

If you've downloaded this you probably have some interest in the game it's based on.. I've put it here since I'll likely never finish it but I did do most of the graphics already and had a lot of ideas.

I've left some old files with ideas in the zip but I think they're probably really out of date. Anyway, if you decide to make something out of this I should be notified and my name included in the credits. I also recommend making heavy use of events if possible. :)

I considered for a long time making it like the game, but if I was going to actually finish it I'd probably start at an earlier time period so the scenario could be longer and there would be more freedom in what to do, as well as making it more like an actual civ2 game as opposed to an rpg.. if you want to play an RPG, play the Super NES or Playstation version :). Now wasn't that just the longest sentence you've ever seen? Anyway, I don't think it would be possible to make it work the way I wanted anyway due to the lack of a counter in the events language.

Also, it should be noted for inclusion in the readme the name of he who created the maps- Justin McKennon. He used to run the Civ2Man's site on Geocities, don't recall his email but I thought his name should be included anyway. I can also thank whoever mentioned his name in an old irc log since I would not have remembered what it was otherwise(I lost all email from before August 98).

If you need more images, start at the Galleria which should be noted in the unit collections on my page. Although it hasn't been updated in eons, there may be links on the links page there or the message board. I can also provide images if required.

Anyway, if you are interesting in working on this, good luck- I hope you can actually finish this. Since I'm rushing this readme out the door, I likely missed a lot of things. Email me if you have any questions(they must be reasonable though).
