The last of battleships bearing the vestige of the Principality of Zeon's Gwazine class, the Gwadan class also sports a crimson hull and gigantic external tanks near the stern. One of the major upgrades over the Gwazine class is the provision of Mobile Suit catapults, in particular the Mobile Suit launcher in the bottom hull that can project Mobile Suits in any angle of its 270-degree fore sweep. With grand halls catered for Zabi family members (in effect Mineva Zabi), the Gwadan class was designed to serve as flagship of the entire Axis fleet.
