Moe Hailstone was a character played by Moe Howard in two different Three Stooges shorts, "You Nazty Spy!" and "I'll Never Heil Again". Hailstone, along with his deputies Pebble (Larry) and Gallstone (Curly, though he's called Herring in the second short), is the dictator of the un-subtly named country of Moronica, appointed supreme ruler by a group of munitions manufacturers in a move against Moronica's king. "You Nazty Spy" has the distinction of being the only Stooges short to spawn a sequel, and one of the first widely distributed films satirizing Hitler (Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator was released some months later)
