Next up is Toussaint L'Overture. He was a rebel leader of Haiti, sorry THE rebel leader of Haiti. He was born into slavery and then, through grit and passion, rose to lead the first successful slave-rebellion over a European power (take that France and Britain!). He established native rule over the island, abolished slavery, and drove the Brits from Santo Domingo all in one fell swoop! He was a man of such gravity in his day that Napoleon did not like it when he was in France, and there are rumors that he had him killed (although this is probably untrue).
He will appear as the Haitian leader in my upcoming Haiti module for my Diplomacy mod. I could also see him being used in Civ4 Colonization, as either a French leader or, if you wanted, a leader of a slave uprising in any mods (hint hint).
